About Tishrei New Zealand

"Art is to bring into being by a force of imagination something that has never been seen or heard before."
Tracey's art reflects her many influences. She developed her love of colour from the Mexican culture of her childhood in America. After attaining a BFA from the University of Texas, Tracey spent many years teaching art to underprivileged children in LA before moving to New Zealand. Her mixed media prints use Eastern and Western symbols, and strong colours inspired by New Zealand's Pacific palette to create uplifting and inspiring designs. Her first logo was a snowflake, “because every one is different. My fabric is unique; you won’t find it anywhere else.”
Part of her drive for success in the business world comes from her love for her daughter. As a single mother Tracey wanted to be a good role model for her daughter by showing her the importance of being financially independent whilst still retaining her creative passion and spirit.
Since its creation in 2004 Tishrei NZ has grown into a solid business with quality products sold in high end stores. As recognition of her hard work and inspired designs, Tracey won the Zonta 2007 Businesswoman Award.
"A work of art is something that makes you see in a new way.
